Rotary Forge Operator

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. There is no specific length of training or experience required. However, you must be able to demonstrate, through experience shown in your written application materials that you possess the sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the work of this position without more than normal supervision. Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element):
Ability to do the work of an Rotary Forge Operator without more than normal supervision which includes:
(1) Operate the Rotary Forge and gas fired box furnace; (2) Reading machine schematics and blueprints and (3) Instructing/Training others - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. To meet the basic eligibility, you must receive at least two points on the screen-out element indicated above and must have an average of two points on all the job elements listed below Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal SupervisionAbility to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprint reading)Ability to Use Hand Tools, Power Tools, etc., for Metal WorkDexterity (Assembly Disassembly Reassembly etc)Knowledge of Equipment, Structure, Materials, etc. (includes constructing repair, and forging) PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Physically lifts up to 40 pounds. Long periods of standing or sitting is required. There may be some heavy work during tool changes. Climbs ladders and stairs, bends, walks, crawls. WORKING CONDITIONS:
Usually works indoors except to check on outdoor equipment. May be subject to small amounts of infra-red radiation. Area is noisy. Hearing protection is required. There is adequate ventilation and light indoors.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

$27.50 to $32.22 per hour
