Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element):
Ability to do the work of an Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic without more than normal supervision which includes(1) (1) Maintain, test and repair various types of electronically controlled industrial equipment and/or machinery; (2) Experience with circuits and basic logic circuits to power, timing and motion controls; and (3) Use of electrical and electronic block diagrams, wiring diagrams and/or schematics.- Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. To meet the basic eligibility, you must receive at least two points on the screen-out element indicated above. Electronics PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Required to push, pull, reach, walk, stand, crawl, kneel, bend and work in cramped positions over and under machinery of all types for sustained periods of time. Required to lift/carry items weighing up to 44 lbs. Mechanical devices/other employees are available to assist with lifts of 45 lbs and over. Uses moderate physical effort, fine finger dexterity and close visual attention. WORKING CONDITIONS:
Incumbent performs work inside areas that are adequately lighted, ventilated, and heated. Floor and deck surfaces are sometimes uneven, oily, and slippery. Frequently, exposed to moving objects and vibration from machines. In shop areas, may be exposed to injury from moving machinery, falls from heights over 20 feet, deep pit areas that require environmental testing before working, danger of burns, electric shocks, bruises, cuts, shop noises, skin irritants and toxic environments.
